For all our activities, the 1A0C operations have a goal that goes beyond just DXing. We don’t aim to only provide a rare “new one” to as many amateur radio operators as we can. Instead, the donations we receive as a direct outcome of this DXpedition will be utilized to support the reconstruction projects that the Order of Malta has for the flood in Romagna.
Starting January 1st, 1982 the cards of QSOs with 1A began to be checked and approved to the great pleasure of all who would pursue DXCC. Now, more than 41 years the prefix is still quite needed by DXers from the amateur Radio community.
Humanitarian relief, medical assistance and emergency support for the victims of natural disasters are just a few of CISOM’s tasks. The activities of CISOM are impartial and non-political in nature, emphasizing respect for the beliefs of all individuals, whether muslim, orthodox, catholic, protestant or jewish.
